Krewe of House Floats
View Map and Donate New Orleans residents decorated their house to look like parade floats. The virtual and in-person tours are free, but everyone is encouraged to donate to Krewe of House Floats’ campaign, which is hoping to raise $100,000 for anyone affected by COVID-19 restrictions and Mardi Gras event cancellations.

Purina Pet Parade
Watch the winner be announced on February 16 Get in on the fun and help homeless pets at the same time with this virtual parade of four-legged friends dressed in their Mardi Gras best. Vote for your favorite each day until February 9, and then tune in to see the winner take top prize on Facebook Live. For each vote cast, Purina will be donating $1, up to $10,000 total, to Open Door Animal Sanctuary.
Shoebox Float Contest
Winner will be announced February 16 View the NOLA Shoebox Float Contest. Judging by the jaw-dropping photos of past entries, Lake Charles residents take decorating their mini floats just as seriously as they do their maxi ones. Voting for the best shoebox float will take place online until February 15, with the winner announced February 16.
Tour The Mardi Gras Museum
Take your 3D Tour NOLA may get a lion's share of the Mardi Gras glory, but those in the know have nothing by love for Lakes Charles, Louisiana's ultra-charming celebration. That also goes for their virtual Carnival, which features a stunning online tour of the city's Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu.
